The boys varsity soccer team played their A-game against Fernley, on Wednesday, October 7. The game resulted in a 4-0 win for the boys.

The team has managed to work together in order to bring yet another victory to Winnemucca.

“This was one of the games where we did a good job scoring and everyone was focused which resulted in a better game,” said forward Ariel Gonzalez. “We did a good job passing but there definitely could have been more communication throughout the team. But ultimately, we did a pretty great job, I think.”

The first goal in the game was scored by senior, Ariel Gutierrez, who is a second-year varsity player. From the moment Gutierrez scored that goal, it was obvious what the outcome of the game was going to be.

The team’s next game is an away contest against Churchill County on Saturday, October 10.
