The sports that Lowry High provides for students give teenagers to engage and learn in something besides class.
Mr. Andrew Meyer believes that Carlos Gomez is a good choice for this award because he is an outstanding player.
“I choose Carlos because he is always working hard to improve,” said Meyer. “Whether it is his swing, foot placement, or anything, he is always willing to change and make it better.”
Meyer also stated that even off the golf course, he is still constantly working to keep his grades up and be a good person.
“Carlos is not only a great golf player, he is also one of the best academic players on the team,” said Meyer. “Never had a grade scare, and he’s always able to play.”
Carlos also enjoys hanging out with friends and playing other sports in the meantime.
“I like to be very active in my free time,” said Gomez. “I also love to interact with my friends and family.”
Carlos is an outgoing person who always keeps his grades up and always works towards the next big goal.
“I always tell myself to swing harder and to stay focused on what’s in front of me,” said Gomez.
Carlos is focused on what is next in life, not what was before. His mindset makes him a great player and student.
