Cheer tryouts to take place May 29

Cheerleading can be just as hard as the rest of the sports. With all of the stunts, twists, jumps, turns, and cartwheels; in this sport, it takes a lot of practice to get to where you want to be.

Returning junior, Skylee Dewitte, has been on the team for three years and knows that putting in effort is definitely needed but having fun is what makes it worth it.

“My favorite thing about cheer would be how close the team becomes throughout the season and how much fun we have during games,” said Dewitte.

Dewitte hopes for the girls to improve throughout the season.

“I hope to see the girls work with the returners to improve and become better than they are now,” said Dewitte.

One token of advice from Dewitte is to just have fun and not be shy.

Cheer tryouts will be held on Tuesday, May 29, at 3:30 p.m. in the New Gym through June 1.
