This starting winter season, the boys’ basketball team has worked hard and contributed to the team.

First-year varsity coach Brandon Eastman mentioned his entire team since he believes they have all worked hard coming into the season.

“I want to highlight the entire team because we have come in the season with a lot of joy for basketball,” said Eastman. “Everyone on the roster is contributing and working hard.”

He was specifically impressed with Jaden Jimenez’s influence on the team.

“I have been impressed by Jaden Jimenez,” said Eastman. “He brings such a calming influence to the team, he gives 110% every time he’s on the court.”

Jimenez gave insight into what he does before a game, memorable moments in his career, his inspirations, and more.

“I would say the most memorable moment in my high school basketball career would be my sophomore year when we lost twice to Fallon in the regular season but then we got a third chance to play them in the playoffs and we ended up beating them and moving on to the semi-finals,” said Jimenez.

Finding a balance between academic and athletic life can be difficult.

“I get my schoolwork done in the morning, and then the rest of the day, I use it for personal time and also for practice or any other athletic commitment I have,” said Jimenez.  “Also, on certain days, I dedicate to working on school work all day and staying at the school to get it done.”
