Freshman football player Connor Peterson was chosen by coach Santos and shares his experiences with the sport while sharing his story as to how he’s become the player he now is.

“Connor displays a strong sense of leadership at each and every practice, as well as in the classroom,” Santos said. “Positive leadership amongst the players is a critical part of a successful program, and Connor does well serving that role on our football team.”

Peterson was ecstatic to share some of his background with football to show his true passion for the game.

“I got into football when I was like six years old, for flag football,” Peterson said. “Then I just played ever since because I liked it.”

Peterson displays his determination for football by doing the best he and his team can do, even when a game isn’t in the team’s favor.

“You can’t give up, and you just gotta keep playing,” Peterson said.

Peterson’s pride in football gets stronger as he continues to learn and grow as an athlete even after all the time he’s spent on the field.
