The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) went to state in Las Vegas to showcase their business skills and talents. Several students competed in different events and many of them did well enough to receive awards and honors. The experience is certainly one that prepares students for their future years in the business world.

Sophomore Elise Rose had a fantastic time and did well in competition.

“I took 2nd in Public Speaking 1 and had a great experience,” said Rose. “I met new people and learned a lot of new things in workshops and from the motivational speaker. I had an overall great time.”

Senior Lizzie Sims thoroughly enjoyed her final FBLA Conference.

“FBLA has made a huge impact on me and I’ve definitely gained a lot of confidence when it comes to public speaking and this year in Vegas was probably one of my strongest years,” said Sims. “It’s also a nerdy kind of fun experience, as usual. I competed in E-business and digital design and promotion.”

FBLA is a great way for students to get involved, acquire some business skills, and have the experience of a lifetime.
