The freshman boy’s basketball team is looking to improve on their season. As the season continues they sit 2-3 overall and 0-1 in league play.
“We haven’t been doing too great this season so far, even though we’ve won two games and lost three it’s still not that great of odds for us and we definitely have a lot to improve on,” said forward Josiah Chapman.
The team has improved a lot since the beginning of the season but also has a long way to go to get to where the team wants to be.
“One thing we really need to work on is our team chemistry. We need to be able to read each other on the court, it will open up a lot more scoring opportunities,” said Oscar Juanes.
Teamwork is something Chapman knows the team should work on but is aware that their offensive skills need work too.
“I think that if we improve our offense and running plays because we’re having trouble setting everything up right now because kids are forgetting what to do,” said Chapman.
Though the season could be going better the boys remain optimistic and know that they have their work cut out for them.
“Overall I think we have a really good team and we’re continuing to work harder and harder each practice so I’m really excited to see what this season has in store for us,” said Juanes.
