Last Thursday, the Lowry Buckaroos played against Elko in Homecoming week.
Eddie Leon thinks the team has what it takes but needs to put forth more effort.
“We’re not giving it our all; if we actually tried, we would be one of the best teams,” said Leon. “But if we have a job, we try our hardest. We don’t give up.”
Freshman coach Adam Sorenson says the game had a different turnout than they had expected.

“It didn’t go as well as we had prepared for; they played hard, we just could not stop number 24,” said coach Sorenson.
Lowry lost they still have motivation and confidence. The coaches believe the freshman players will definitely be ready to play on the junior varsity team next year.
Sorenson believes the season is going really well.
“We have had our ups and downs, but overall it’s been well,” said Sorenson. “The players aren’t the only ones confident in themselves; the coaches also believe in the team.”
