Girl’s JV soccer team pushes through tough season

This JV soccer season for the girls included highs and lows. With an overall 7-8 record, one major accomplishment for this team according to the players was learning to “forgive and forget”.

“Our strong suit was being able to come back when everybody was mad at each other and grow from our mistakes,” said Michela Bergstrom.

The girls were good at getting back on their feet after a mistake but something they could always work on would be communication.

“Communication is something we could work on punctuating,” said Yizel Martinez.

The girls had a great season. Their coach Macy Munroe loved seeing them grow and getting compliments about her team.

“The team is growing so fast together and I am sad to see it end,” said Coach Munroe.

The girls’ favorite part of the 2024 season was bonding with the team and experiencing real love from the team.

“Our JV soccer team has worked very hard this season to climb to the top,” said Coach Monroe. “The girls had plenty of fun practicing together and making memories of a lifetime.”

Their favorite game of the year was against White Pine and their final score was 5-0 at home.

“We played good as a team together and worked the ball downfield,” said Maribell Urtiz Flores.

Something that they were the best at would be passing the ball downfield, while one thing they could work on would be getting open for a shot.

“Overall though the season the girls worked hard and could not have made me more proud,” said Munroe.

This year the JV team held off well and worked hard all season long. The girls ended the season strong with a win of 2-0 against Churchill County.
