Seventeen members from Mrs. Vicki Meissner Honors English 1 class had a middle school class visit Lowry be tutored.

Mr. Scot Krause brought his class to Lowry on October 22 and November 12. The kids received help with their writing, hoping to improve their writing skills and make English easier for them.

“It definitely helps because it’s kids listening to older kids instead of a teacher. Also, the one on one will make a big difference. I’m also hoping it will inspire them and make them excited to come up to the high school,” said Meissner.

Meissner is hoping to continue the collaboration with the class from the middle school throughout the year.

“I hope to continue this and Mr. Krause wants to keep doing the tutoring also. So far we’ve been just doing some memoir writing and help reinforce what the freshmen are learning now,” continued Meissner.
