The Humboldt County superintendent David Jensen recently announced the said to be “phenomenal graduation rate for the Class of 2015.”

Jensen said “I am excited to share that the Cohort Grad Rate for the class of 2015 is identified as 82.99% for Humboldt County. This represents a growth of 4.54% over last year and 19.5% over the 2012 cohort. This is phenomenal and is a reflection of the efforts of every member of the HCSD team.”

Jensen continued to explain that only four other districts, Douglas, Eureka, Mineral, and Pershing County, have graduation rates higher than that of Humboldt County. He also mentions that three of these four districts are much smaller than Humboldt.

Jensen stressed that the district staff should be proud of this graduation rate and will keep on working to improve on the graduation rate. He also made sure to thank the district employees and their hard work in improving the graduation rate.
