Lowry High School is stepping up its game this year to make sure incoming freshmen are very prepared for the long four years that are coming to them. On Tuesday, March 29 starting at 5:30 p.m., Lowry will be hosting an open house night. This night will include freshman orientation and a college/career fair.
“The goal of this is to get everyone involved,” said principal Ray Parks.
The night will begin with a quick welcoming of students and parents, and then vice principals Dustin Christean and Tim Connors will speak to everyone about Lowry and the great programs they have to offer. The LHS Choir will then perform. Staff from GBC and UNR will speak to everyone about their colleges, then everyone will be released to enjoy the booths that the CTE teachers, colleges, and careers have prepared.
