Ms. Alexis Mattson has picked Itzel Reyes as the Science Student of the Week for working hard and being a great student.
“She comes in and just has the will to learn,” said Mattson. “She asks questions and clarifies her answers.”
Mattson appreciates her coming in and staying focused.
“I never have to worry about her not turning in her homework,” said Mattson. “She’s just all around a great student.”
Reyes is excited about being chosen and enjoys science.
“I’m pretty happy about it,” said Reyes. “I’ve always had a liking for science, Mattson makes me able to keep that love for it. Even when it can be a lot of work.”
Reyes enjoys learning in these science classes and enjoys the teacher’s work as well.
“My favorite part… I’d say just being able to enjoy what I’m learning,” said Reyes. “Again, Mattson is funny and lights up a room so effortlessly. Having her two periods in a row makes you forget you’re even in a classroom.”
