On Saturday, April 11, the JV softball team lost to Fallon in a doubleheader 9-4, 10-6. The Bucks went into this game knowing they had tough competition, as their varsity team is the reigning state champs.

“It was a tough game, probably the toughest game we’ve seen in League and ever will see,” said freshman shortstop Bailey Sapien.

The Lady Bucks had one inning in both games that they let Fallon score multiple runs.

“We had that one inning where we let down, other than that we gave them a good run for their money,” added Sapien.

So far this season the Buckaroos are 6-4 in league play. With only three weekends left they hope to capture as many wins as possible.

“Fernley is going to be a good game. There are a couple of adjustments we need to make. We need to be more aggressive in the box and on base,” said Kaity Sample.

The Lady Bucks will continue to work in their next home game against Lovelock to prepare for Fernley.
