This year’s spring sports have begun and Lowry softball is ready to have a good season. Tryouts were nine days long and the girls were challenged. They have had two games against Sparks so far this season and won both.

“The season is going really well so far and we kicked butt this weekend. I am excited to see how the rest of the season will go and I feel like we are going to do great,” said Bailey Sapien.

This season’s team includes Sylvie Prokasky, Jackquelyn Urain, Ana Ochoa, Kaitlyn Sample, Chelsea Herrera, Tiana Herrera, Bailey Sapien, Amaya Herrera, Lindsay Pate, Destiny Linnell, Hannah Hillyer, Emily Cook, Aubrey Johnson, and Dallas Hunewill.

The coaches are Dani Brown and Shannon McClellan.

“As of right now, the season has been going great. Our team works well together and is always willing to fix the mistakes we have made so that we can improve on the field,” said Aubrey Johnson.

The next game they have is at Lowry against Dayton on March 28 at 11 a.m.
