The freshman volleyball team has done fairly well so far this season.
With three games left in the season, the freshmen team is prepared to go to work this season.
“The freshman team has done rather well this year,” said coach Cassandra Jenkins. “We have a good foundation of skills and have shown a lot of improvement not only in the necessary skills, but also in the game of volleyball, and in coming together as a team.”
The freshman’s record is currently 9-5 with one home game left.
“I have enjoyed coaching and getting to know each and every one of them this year. It’s been fun,” said Jenkins.

Freshman Lyndsee Dove had a pretty good idea of what to expect this season.
“Some of our team members were familiar with volleyball, so it wasn’t hard to go over all the parts of it,” said Dove. “But we all knew we were going to play against teams from last year’s volleyball. We had an idea of all of them, so that’s when we practiced rotations, hitting, and setting to make us better this year. I’d say our season was successful; we played our best every game; some we lost, but there’s always next year.”
The team’s last home game is on Thursday, October 25, against Churchill County.
