Lowry Golf went to Fallon on April 4 during Spring Break to try and stay in the top three in the North to make it to State this year.
Although the team had a rough tournament with many errors, and some players didn’t come out of the tournament with the scores they wanted, they placed fourth, behind Elko in third, Fallon in second, and Spring Creek in first.
Zane Fifield from the boys’ golf team wasn’t happy with how he did and thought the tournament put the team on the spot.
“The tournament was a good, tough tournament that put our team on the spot,” said Fifield. “Although my putting saved my round, I still shot a 100. I really think the team needs to work on getting control of the direction of the ball, and that will hopefully better the team.”
The top three players on Lowry were Peyton Capellen with an 88, Dillon Patterson with a 92, and Kobe Stocker with a 96.
The Lowry Boys golf team plays again at Ruby View golf course on April 19, then they head to Spring Creek golf course on April 20.
