Big rivalry, ends with a big loss by Lowry on Tuesday night, Elko came out of the locker room ready to play and got a lead quickly in the first quarter. Lowry slowly crept up on the lead after a few three-pointers by Omar Guerrero, but it wasn’t enough. By halftime Elko had a 10-point lead, 25-15.

“There are a lot of things we need to work on before Spring Creek. We need to execute our offense and really work on defense. Once we put the small things together hopefully the next time we face Elko we can come out on top,” said senior Chris Tyree.

After halftime, Lowry had some trouble putting the pieces together and Elko continued to pressure the Bucks. With some steals by Christian Gray the Bucks kept pressuring Elko, but the final buzzer rang at 60-30.

Lowry plays Spring Creek at home on Friday.
