Lowry finished in second place in its only home tournament of the year.
“26 teams participated, and we finished in second place as a team,” said Brant Corak.
Taylor Corak finished in first place in the 132-pound weight class.
Taylor Corak performed exceptionally well, along with Anthony Peterson and Isaiah Blanco.
“Taylor Corak was our lone champion. Isaiah Blanco and Anthony Peterson both finished second,” said coach Corak.
Isaiah Blanco finished in second place in the 113-pound weight class.
The team performed to the best of their ability and worked to improve every day.
“The kids wrestled tough all weekend, and they battled for every point and made improvement,” said coach Corak.
“On Friday and Saturday, our teams’ performance was good. We had some good battles in our matches,” said Christian Cuevas.
The team still has room to improve, but they hope to improve every practice.
“We have a long way to go, but we know the key to success is outworking our competition in the practice room,” said coach Corak.
The top results were Spanish Springs 216.5, Lowry 185, Reed 185, Fernley 138.5, and Bishop Manogue 134.
