Coach Chris Entwistle has chosen Maura Braatz as Athlete-Student of the Week for her performance during the week.
“Maura had a phenomenal week,” said Coach Entwistle. “Scoring two goals with one assist, while doing all the things we had worked on and talked about in practice.”
Braatz expresses gratitude for the new title and is hopeful for the team’s future.
“I appreciate being picked and I am grateful to be on this amazing team,” said Braatz. “The season is going extremely well and I think we definitely have a chance at playoffs and potentially farther.”
The camaraderie among the players is special to Braatz.
“My favorite thing about soccer is the players and the relationship that I have made with everyone on the team,” said Braatz. “I enjoy being able to see and hang out with my teammates every day.”
Nonetheless the difficulties of practices, soccer will continue to be something Braatz enjoys.
“Soccer is always fun for me even if it’s just the conditioning or practices,” said Braatz.
