This year’s JV girls basketball team is back and excited for the season. Coached by Amy Jenkins, this is what she had to say about the team this year.
“I’m excited to coach this year’s team, and seeing new players this year coming in ready and determined is a good thing to see,” said Jenkins. “Based on last year’s team, this year we will work harder on improving and bettering not only ourselves, but the team as a whole in all aspects.”
Fresh players this year are eager to play and get into the down and dirty of the game. Sierra Maesterjuan shared her excitement to be on the team this year.
“I feel very privileged to be on this year’s JV girls’ basketball and can’t wait to work with the other girls and have a good season,” said Maestrejuan.

One player, Danyelle Brown, expressed her thoughts on what the team should improve in.
“What we need to work on as a team is our defense and protecting all sides of the court and always being ready for anything to happen,” said Brown.
This year’s JV girls are ready to play and are practicing hard. The girls will travel to Pershing County to begin their season on December 3 against the Mustangs.
JV girls’ basketball roster: Macy Munroe, Rebecca Kuskie, Hailey Fernandez, Juli Garcia, Lily Pasquale, Danyelle Brown, Heather Hall, Rachel Garrison, Lili Garcia, Sierra Maestrejuan, Brooke Hansen, Victoria Tirado.
