The varsity softball season has begun with their first league game against Fernley.

The score of the first game was 2-0, followed by the second game 12-9.

The girls got to see how well they worked together as a team.

Senior Kylie Sappington was happy with her teammate’s effort.

“I think we played well, we should’ve won the first game, but we just had small mistakes,” said Sappington.

Although the girls lost the first round, they came back in the second game.

“The second game went really well, we hit really hard and had a solid defense. We should be able to beat them next time we play once we fix our errors,” added Sappington.

The Lady Bucks are ready to practice and fix their mistakes. Junior Sydney Connors is hoping for a better outcome.

“I thought the game went well, and I can’t wait to play them again once we fix all our little mistakes,” said Connors.

Sophomore Sierra Maestrejuan picked up the win in the circle for the Bucks. She also led Lowry with three hits, three RBIs, and a home run. Connors also hit a home run.

The Bucks will host Spring Creek on Friday and Saturday, March 23-24.
