With spring coming around the corner so are all of the spring sports at Lowry.

One of the many spring sports is softball.

“ I am very excited for the upcoming season and to see how well we are going to do this year,” said Maddi Rose.

The first practice was March 3 right after a vigorous nine days of tryouts, when 12 girls were picked for the varsity team.

One of the girls who made varsity, Maddi Rose, was very optimistic about the upcoming season and her team.

“I think we are going to do really well, we all bond really well together and it will be a strong season,” said Rose.

The first tournament was in Mesquite and the ladies won three games and lost one.

The girls’ last games were a three-game series in Sparks on March 13 and 14.
