Let’s go back to 2018, where you’ll find yourself scrolling through TikTok or even Instagram to find a video of an 11-year-old kid yodeling in Walmart.
After a few hours of trending on social media, the Yodeling Kid was a worldwide sensation.
The Worldwide sensation is Mason Ramsey, an 11-year-old boy from Golconda Illinois who was filmed In Walmart performing “Lovesick Blues” by Hank Williams.
After the video was circulating on the internet millions of people started to “fangirl” over “The Yodeling Walmart Kid” especially people like Justin Bieber, Post Malone, Miley Cyrus, and other A-list celebrities.
The worldwide sensation began to become a meme on the internet with millions of people going out to film themselves yodeling in their local Walmart.
Ramsey with all of this fame went on to sign record deals, even produce his own music and make guest appearances on live TV shows like The Ellen Show.
Ramsey was able to perform at live events like Coachella and even got the opportunity to perform with celebrities like Billy Ray Cyrus.
Now it’s 2022 and who knows where the Infamous Yodeling Walmart Kid is today? Is he still yodeling and producing music or is he living his own life away from all the attention and fame?
Ramsey is currently 15 and has a job at subway. He recently went viral again on the famous platform of TikTok for a song called “Before I knew it”. On various creators’ platforms, you can see them enjoying the new genre.
