Lowry traveled to Fernley on Saturday, October 18, and picked up their second win against Fernley this season.
Lowry scored first when Kevin Blanco crossed the ball in and winger Orlando Pardini headed the ball into the back of the net to put Lowry up early into the contest. Fernley did not let the early goal get to them, and minutes later, scored off of a defensive mistake. After that Blanco, once again, crossed the ball in and this time it was left-back Weston Irons to head the ball into the net, putting Lowry up for the second time. Fernley equalized the game shortly after. Lowry went up just before halftime with another goal from Pardini.
After the halftime break, it was all Lowry as they shut out Fernley and scored six more goals. Kevin Blanco, Steven Castillejos, Jordan Diaz, Orlando Pardini, and Roberto Sanchez all added goals during the second half.
Senior captain Colton Irons enjoyed the game and liked how the team played.
“We started off slow and didn’t take the game very seriously but we got our stuff together during the second half and ended up playing a pretty good game,” said Irons.
The Bucks finish the season this week with games in both Spring Creek and Sparks.
