This week’s top performer is Nico Espinola for JV baseball. He is dedicated and loves to play the game. Espinola always gives 110% every day, he likes to come early before practice and he likes to stay after practice to get the extra help he needs.

“Nico really understands the game of baseball. As a coach, you can always trust him to know the situation and the right thing that needs to be done. You never really have to worry about him doing the little things,” said coach Austin Mayo.

Espinola has had a good year at the plate hitting. He has had .389 in 54 at-bats. With hard work and dedication, Espinola has accomplished a lot throughout the season.

“He definitely needs to get better defensively. Just slow down and not try to make the play so quickly. The tools are there, he just needs to trust them and make the play,” said Mayo.

Their season has gone really well everyone worked together with a lot of dedication. Lowry won against Fernley on April 27 with a score of 3-1, and Pershing County on April 27 with a score of 13-7. Also, Lowry lost to Spring Creek on May 5, and Truckee on April 18.
