The Student-Athlete of the Week is an individual who shows a tremendous amount of effort in her sports and academics. She is an active member of FFA and Leadership. Even with her extracurricular activities, she always makes time for volleyball. The Student-Athlete of the Week is Brittany Jacaway.
Jacaway was a captain this past season on JV volleyball. Her leadership skills and determination helped her team win many matches.
“She had a really great season. Any time we got into a tight spot during a match, our team could always count on her to score a point whether it was offensively with a kill or defensively with a block,” said coach Brandon Eastman.
Jacaway also excels on the court because of her height and her knowledge of where the ball is going to be.
“She just has a knack for knowing where the ball is going to be. She is very rarely out of position on the court. She always seems to be where the ball is,” explained Eastman.
JV volleyball ended their season with a win against Sparks on Friday, October 30.
