Performer of the Week: Kyron Williams

Paul Criddle has selected Kyron Williams as Performer of the Week in the band.

“Kyron made the drastic change from saxophone to baritone-saxophone. He wasn’t sure if he was ready to make the change, but judging by the way he has performed so far, I don’t think it will be much of an issue for the rest of the year,” Criddle said.

“He makes a significant attribution to the band and I am honored to have him in my class,” said Criddle.

Williams is in his sophomore year and has been in the band both years at Lowry. Williams made the change from saxophone to baritone-saxophone at the beginning of this year and it has done nothing but help the band improve.

Not only is Williams a member of the regular band, but he is also an active participant in the pep band. What this means is Williams is there performing the national anthem, and other tunes such as “Born This Way” and “Eye of the Tiger”.

Williams’ contributions will continue to be noticed and appreciated.
