The Lowry junior varsity boy’s soccer team won another game against Spring Creek, 3-1. Nevertheless, there is always room for improvement.
“We played adequately. We only had a 2-0 lead at the half and it ended up 3-1 because we gave up a garbage goal. We just went through the motions and we didn’t play as hard as we practiced. If we would’ve played as hard as we’ve been working, I think there would’ve been a much better result for us—even though 3-1 is good, but we were hoping for a bit more out of ourselves,” said coach Ron Espinola.
However, junior varsity player Colton De La Mora believed the team played well.
“I think it went well. Everyone did what they were supposed to do. There were some spots we lacked in, but we made up for it,” stated De La Mora.
The junior varsity team has been working hard this season by making sure to perform their best.
“[It is important for the team to be] giving their best effort at all times and making sure that their teammates are doing the same,” said Espinola.
Their next game will be away against Elko High School on October 27 at 2 p.m.
