On Friday, October 26, the girls’ soccer teams traveled to play Elko and came away with a 2-1 win. In the last five minutes of the game, Lowry was able to get a late goal and win.
The varsity girls’ coach, Ed Partee, was very proud of his team’s win against Elko for their last game.
“The girls played a great game against Elko,” said coach Partee. “Lowry played a very defensive game and did well marking up the other team and holding them tight.”
Coach Partee also believes that the team played very well together.
“Both Macy Delong and Julie Gonzalez made excellent shots on goal, cinching the points needed,” said Partee. “The team came together as a whole, bringing home the win.”
Julianna Gonzalez believes that her team left everything on the field for their last game.
“I am so proud of my team because we poured our hearts out on the field for this last game,” said Gonzales. “We wanted to end the season with a win, and we did.”
The girls ended their season with three wins.
