This week’s Student-Athlete of the Week for freshman football is Jeremiah Grasmick, an outstanding linebacker.
Head freshman football coach Adam Sorenson praised Grasmick for his outstanding performance and his exceptional attitude.
“He had a great game against South Tahoe, had a touchdown catch as well as an interception,” said coach Sorenson. “He blocks a lot and does well at opening holes, allowing his teammates to zoom by. He always has a great attitude and tries his hardest in practice. I look forward to seeing him progress through his high school football career.”
Grasmick is a quiet leader who encourages his team by leading by example and quietly promoting the team for success.
“He’s a very quiet leader. He does what he needs to do and does it well. He shows his fellow lineman what to do by doing it. He plays both positions well, and it brings me joy seeing how much he enjoys the sport he plays. An outstanding player and an overall great kid,” said Sorenson.
Grasmick, as well as the freshman football team, will compete in their last home game of the season on October 17.
