Last Thursday, January 26, the Academic Challenge team traveled to Ely to compete for the first time this year. The members are Dain Maher, Cameron Echave, Eman Eizenga, Karen Esperaza, Tyler Duran, Chris Barta, Trenton Smith.
Sophomore Dain Maher said, “It was a lot of fun, there were some close matches, but it was nice to win them all to start the season.”
The team took first over White Pine 155-135, Battle Mountain 190-65, Battle Mountain JV 165-145 and West Wendover 170-50.
Lowry will be hosting the Academic Challenge next Thursday from 3:15- 6:00 p.m.
