This week, Lowry Varsity Baseball Coach, Brent Riemersma, selected Angus Boyles as his Student-Athlete of the Week. Boyles was chosen because of his leadership and dedication on the field.
“Brought the intensity we needed on the mound in Fernley last weekend,” said Riemersma. “Angus pitched a seven-inning, one-hitter with six strikeouts.”
Coach Riemersma was proud of Boyles’ accomplishments during this baseball season.
“He also went 3-9 at the plate with three walks, three RBI’s and three Runs,” said Riemersma.
Boyles is proud of his achievement and is motivated by it because of his love for baseball.
“I’m very proud that I was chosen,” said Boyles. “I’m glad that my coach has recognized the hard work I’ve put in this season.”
Boyles is focused on helping his team stay competitive and locked in as the season continues.
“This motivates me to keep pushing and keep showing up for my team,” said Boyles.
