The art and CTE programs had a presentation showing their work and their skills. The presentation took place on May 30, 2019.
“Our Annual Art and CTE Showcase are honestly one of my all-time favorite events of the year for both departments. For our Lowry High School student artists, it is the opportunity to showcase their artistic journey for the year,” said art teacher Ms. Julia Topholm. “The showcase this year has several new projects being displayed alongside projects that have become part of the Lowry High Art Tradition.”
Many artists have contributed some of their best work to the show.
“The artwork turned out really well and we are really proud of what we have displayed for people,” said Rosa Ibarra.
The showcase was in the Art and CTE buildings. Along with Mrs.Topholm the art teacher, many talented students made some eye drawing work.
“Student work from across the LHS Art Department will be displayed highlighting the talent of our freshman through senior artists who have worked in a variety of artistic mediums this year,” said Topholm.“To put into words how proud I am of our Lowry High School Student Artists cannot be put into words, I am in just pure amazement looking at their pieces and how they have taken the skills they have learned to help them start to find their own artistic vision and voice.
The art students were very impressed by the artwork displayed.
“We put so much time into our pieces to make them the best we could, and it shows we have amazing work being displayed,” said Diana Moraila.
