May 28, 2015, was the day that the halls of the Lowry High School became bedecked in the artwork of the esteemed students in the art classes. Parents, peers, and other assorted guests came and marveled at the works of art on display.

“It is a showcase of student artworks that normally people don’t get a chance to appreciate during the school year,” said art teacher Andrew Anderson.

The works of every student involved were collected and placed on display for those people to admire and appreciate. These students placed hours of work, dedication, and craft into these masterpieces.

“The types of art available for viewing at the showcase included a plethora of ceramic works including teapots, lamps, gargoyles, functioning sets, sculpture,” said Anderson.

CTE projects ranging from plants grown in the greenhouse to welding projects to sewing projects were also on display.

The Art 2 classes provided surrealistic artworks, chalk and pastel drawings, and impressionistic works, among others. The Advanced Art class had fashion design, figure study, and recent updates to the shop building’s mural to boast of.
