Lowry has amazing athletes as well as artists, this week, Elizabeth Gilboy was chosen as the Artist of the Week by art teacher Ms. Julia Topholm.
Topholm explains just how talented Gilboy is and the various ways she shows it.
“She has a wonderful ability to paint and handles the acrylic medium like a pro. She is truly developing her own style and it is seen in the pieces she has created this year,” said Topholm. “Her work often showcases popular culture imagery with her own personal twist.”
Gilboy started out very young as an artist.
“I started painting when I was little I had a lot of free time to practice and I still do art all the time,” said Gilboy.
Gilboy gains inspiration from her music.
“Music inspires me because you can just paint to the flow of music and it’s calming,” said Gilboy.
