The JV boys, coached by Jeff Rinas and Don Walton, had their first home game Friday, January 4 against the Fallon Greenwave. The team also played on January 15, against Elko at home.
After a great game, Walton nominated Omar Guerrero as Athlete of the Week.
“Our team has done really well this season and our defense has really kept us in the game,” said Guerrero, “I think we should just slow things down and run our offense and we will be a complete team.”
Walton was very pleased with Guererro’s commitment to the Elko game.
“Guerrero held the team through the game offensively with 22 points and had just an overall great game,” said Walton.
