Athlete of the Week: Tyler Brumm

On Monday morning the halls are abuzz with who won which games that weekend. It might just be me, but it seems like everyone is talking about the varsity and occasionally the junior varsity teams. But hidden in the shadows is our school’s freshman boy’s basketball team, they have started the season off strong.

One athlete in particular has thus far stuck out as an exceptional player. Tyler Brumm a freshman has made his mark. Scoring an average of 6 points a game, one thing is for certain; he has brought skill to the team.

Tyler has played basketball at the junior high and is no stranger to the game. When basketball came around he knew that he was going to try out for the team. When asked how it went he said that he was nervous at first, but the open gym really helped and he knew almost every person that was trying out.

Freshman boy’s basketball coaches are Mr. Cabatbat and Mr. Murgel. Tyler is happy with his coaches and thinks that they have definitely helped in making the team better as a whole. The fact that all the guys on the team know each other helps to make the team more unified. At practice, they all do what they can to improve each other’s game.
