Coach Hailey Hinkle chose Ava Swensen as Student-Athlete of the Week because she has a passion for basketball and pushes herself to be great.
“She has an exceptional work ethic and a deep passion for the game of basketball, which drives her to give her best effort every time she steps on the court,” said Hinkle. “Ava is dedicated to learning and growing as a player, constantly pushing herself to improve her skills and knowledge of the game.”
Hinkle also picked Swensen because she is able to work well with her teammates and support them.
“Ava is an incredible teammate and friend,” said Hinkle. “She is encouraging, supportive, and always willing to lift others up, creating a positive environment both on and off the court. Ava’s presence on the team inspires those around her to work hard and aim high, and she is sure to have a significant impact this season and beyond.”
Swensen enjoys being on the team and enjoys the company of her teammates.
“I love my team,” said Swensen. “We work well together and we all get along too. My teammates are always ready to work hard.”
Swensen’s passion for basketball helps her appreciate the game.
“I love everything about it,” said Swensen. “I love the game itself, and I love the environment.”
