Brooklyn Swensen leads by example and works hard at practice to achieve her goals.
Coach Sergio Cabada chose Swensen as he could see her work hard and her determination to achieve her goals.
“Brooklyn is dedicated to becoming a better distance runner,” said Cabada. “She is a leader and always works as hard as possible.”
Swensen is always looking for new PRs and boosting myself.
“I like to improve my times and complete my races,” said Swensen. “I am always trying to better my skills.”
Assistant coach Larry Renteria is impressed with how Swensen pushes her other teammates to do better, while also improving herself.
“She has steadily increased her conditioning to improve with each race,” said Renteria. “Not only is her conditioning improving, but she also reflects on her race strategy to improve.
Overall, Brooklyn has been an excellent runner and teammate.”
