Bryce Brinkerhoff is a senior this year at Lowry and has been chosen as a Student-Athlete of the Week by coach Chelsea Cabatbat. Brinkerhoff shows up every day and works her hardest so being chosen is very rewarding.

“It feels rewarding to be chosen for Student-Athlete of the Week,” said Brinkerhoff. “Our practices are intense and I try to work my hardest every day.”

Brinkerhoff has stepped in as a great team leader and makes sure to do everything she does to the best of her abilities on and off the court.

“Bryce is an amazing leader and believes in the process and goes above and beyond to lead by example,” said coach Cabatbat.

Leadership is a big role in basketball and Brinkerhoff shows up in that role of leadership to make sure that none of her teammates hang their heads low.

“It takes many people to have a voice and get the game going,” said Brinkerhoff. “I would say I am a leader to my team by pushing others to try their best and not letting my teammates hang their heads low.”

Coach Cabatbat loves to coach athletes who are coachable and positive and that is what Brinkerhoff is.

“She is always positive, and coachable, knows what her role on the team is, and does what is best for the team,” said Cabatbat.
