In Battle Mountain, the Lowry varsity softball girls swept over all three games on April 2, 2011, against the Battle Mountain. The first game played was a blowout, the Lowry victory would be a score of 21-1.

“The second game we got off to a slow start and we had a problem adjusting,” said Coach Lucas.

The second game played was a close call for the Buckaroos, but they managed to pull out a victory of 7-4. The third game resulted in another lop-sided score, 15-1.

“Overall we played well, just the second game was a little too close,” said Lucas.

Dana Pardovich had two home runs and Taylor Johnson went 6-7 at the plate. Lowry’s softball team has worked on their defense in the outfield and watching for the ball, which helped them tremendously against Battle Mountain.
