If you’re walking through the halls on a Thursday morning and you’re overcome by the smell of fresh delicious cookies, that smell is coming from the Senior Store. The Senior store has been open for a while now. It is open before school on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. So if you’re in need of some caffeine to wake you up for your school day look no further.
They sell hot and cold coffee in many different flavors including French vanilla, salted caramel, and mocha and they also sell black coffee. On Thursdays, they sell freshly baked, gooey, delicious cookies for 50 cents each.
“I work in the senior store on Thursdays and help make the cookies. They smell so good I can’t help but buy some and they taste as good as they smell,” said Chris Kearns.
The Senior Store is run by senior volunteers. If you’re a senior you can work in there and it counts for community service hours. The profit made in the senior store goes towards graduation and helps pay for things like the fireworks the night before graduation.
“The senior store is really fun to work in. We get to listen to music and sell coffee. I work every Friday so come in and buy some tasty coffee,” said Zach White.
