JV football went head to head against Elko Friday the 10th at home to kick off Friday night football.
Although they battled hard Lowry lost 28-13.
The team definitely has a lot of room to improve, but team member Ryan Bourland says they have come a long way and will continue to grow and improve.
“As a team, we’ve definitely improved, we used to have such a hard time playing as a team and lately we’ve been doing a lot better than we used to,” said Bourland. “We have to work on our offensive line but other than that I’m proud of how we played.”
Junior Dominic Diaz disagrees, saying that the team doesn’t need to improve.
As a team, we all played well together and we played hard, we really don’t need to improve on anything, we just need to continue to play as a whole, and keep our minds right,” said Diaz. “I think we played well against Elko, we just had a mental breakdown in the first half,” he added.
The team isn’t going to let this loss keep them down. They plan to practice harder and will strive to improve for the rest of their season.
“As the season progresses we just need to keep playing as we’ve been playing the last three games and we’ll have a successful end of the season,” said Diaz.
JV plays on October 17 at home against Sparks at 4:30 p.m.
