Fake News: No more music

Sadly, a horrific event took place in March at Lowry. As many of you all know, Robert ‘Gus’ Campbell, usually plays his lovely music through the halls of Lowry. Many people enjoy listening to his funky playlist as they are making their way from class to class.

Unfortunately his speakers broke.

The speakers broke on March 4 when Campbell was trying to switch from Eminem’s “Rap God” to Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” (a generous change in music) and accidentally fell down a flight of stairs.

Although Campbell managed to get up from the fall unharmed, the speakers did not make it.

A devastated student had this to say about the tragedy, “When I heard that Gus fell down that flight of stairs all I could think about was ‘are the speakers okay?’ and when my worst fears were confirmed I broke down, ran to my room, and locked myself inside for roughly three days. After a week of intensive therapy and listening to Lana Del Rey’s ‘Summertime Sadness,’ on repeat I’m ready to go back out into the public and face Lowry with no music,” said Devan LaTray.

Now Lowry students must go for the rest of the year without jamming out on the way to their next class.
