After months of scathing tweets aimed at anyone who drew his ire, President Donald J. Trump has suspended his Twitter account.
Although a specific reason was not given by the White House, anonymous sources have confirmed reports that the cause behind his Tweet hiatus was either caused by carpal tunnel syndrome, fake news, or Ivanka Trump’s urging to do the right thing.
On February 8 Trump tweeted, “My daughter Ivanka has been treated so unfairly by @Nordstrom. She is a great person — always pushing me to do the right thing! Terrible!” One well-placed White House staffer said he doesn’t believe this was the reason.
“I heard that Kellyanne Conway finally got him to understand that everyone in the world could see his tweets. I guess he thought he was just texting,” said Dwayne, the Assistant to the Regional Manager and next in line for a cabinet position.
At least two news outlets are reporting that followers can look forward to the president’s renewed presence on social media when he activates his long-defunct Myspace account to create more jobs for US citizens.
