The day has finally come that everyone at Lowry has been expecting for many years, through all the speculation, social media drama, and bullying, Jed Teichert is finally coming out of the Prius.
“Throughout my entire life, I have always felt pressured to not reveal who I truly am, but the fact is I’ve been lying to myself, to my family, and to my friends about the fact that I drive a Prius. I am proud to be a Prius owner,” revealed Teichert.
Teichert is a stand-up “guy” (we think), Teichert could face public humiliation and resentment, and he will have to deal with it for the rest of his life. Teichert can’t change the way he was made, and he was made to drive a Prius.
“We fully support Jed in his decision to come out, we’ve suspected for many years that Jed would come out and we just want him to make the transition from constantly having to hide the fact that he is a Prius owner to proudly driving downtown with the windows down, stereos loudly playing “Shake it Off” by Taylor Swift, and loudly proclaiming that he loves his Prius and doesn’t care who knows about it,” said Teichert’s family.
Teichert is the first wave of many people who will be coming out of the Prius, this is the 21st-century folks and many people need to wake up and realize that we need to encourage Prius owners to be proud and not to be scared of people who will drive huge gas-hogging diesel trucks while others are steadfast in their beliefs that Prius Owners need to be hunted down and done away with.
As Teichert would say, “Shake it off”, and “Haters gonna hate,” and be proud to drive a Prius.
