Many players in freshman boy’s basketball, such as Tristan Vankirk, believed that their season went well and even with some bad moments, they still had fun.
“The overall season went great for us; there were some ups and downs throughout the season, but we got through it,” said Vankirk.
Another player, Jonny Leon, believes that their improvement on and off the court was beneficial.
“We improved on our overall game and our performances on and off the court,” said Leon.
Coach Ricarda Braatz had a good season as a first-time Lowry coach.
“My first season coaching the freshman boy’s basketball team went great,” said Braatz. “We learned a lot and I saw a lot of improvement in each player as well as myself.”
The freshman boy’s season was pretty good this year, and they ended with a 13-8 record. The team leaders were Dyson Curry with 8.1 points per game, 3.6 steals per game, 145 points, and 65 steals, Robin Braatz with 7.7 RPG, 3.2 AST/G, 1.8 BLK/G, 58 assists, 139 rebounds, and 33 blocks, Jaxson Morgan with a 39 FG%, Jonny Leon with a 64 free throw percentage, and Guhner Gladden shot with a 26% from three-point range.
