On Friday, October 2, the freshman volleyball team played against Truckee. Though they lost with a score of 25-10 the team’s captain Stacey Horton was very proud of what the girls had accomplished in the game.

“Even though we lost I feel that the team did really well. We all really worked together and we weren’t sore losers. Even though there are things that I think that we could have improved on the team has come a long way and I think that next game we’ll come even further,” said Horton.

Horton felt that though the team did well they could have done better on some things in the game.

“I think that we could have used a little more communication. I just don’t think we really played our best but I’m sure we’ll do better in future games. We’re going to have better communication and be more aggressive. We have a lot to improve on but I feel that we’re doing really well,” Horton added.

Horton said that she is proud of the team and is sure that they will have more success later on in the season. She says that the team has worked very hard to get to where they are and that she can’t wait to see what the future holds.
