Disney has a reputation for producing wonderful animated films that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, and they’ve done it again. “Frozen” was an adventurous film with an atypical plot that makes for an exciting story.
The movie is about two sisters, one of whom (Elsa voiced by Idina Menzel) has magical ice powers. As Elsa gets older though, her powers become harder to control, and she ends up harming her little sister (Anna voiced by Kristin Bell.) As a result, she secludes herself from the rest of the world, but she leaves behind an icy spell on her village, causing an eternal winter. So Anna must journey to find her and persuade her to come out of hiding to break the spell, but the sisters encounter many challenges along the way.
The movie demonstrates the true power and unconditional love of sisterhood. While the story is inspirational, the graphics and effects are bar none. The dreamy ice land is portrayed brilliantly and makes for a wonderful backdrop. The soundtrack is also making waves, topping Beyoncé’s new album on iTunes with classic songs like “Let it go” and “For the first time in Forever.”
“Frozen” lost the top box office spot to the new “Paranormal Activity”, and then came back on top in the next week. It was a very successful film.
